For many years, Cambodian farmers are facing huge challenge of access to market that could accept the quantity with reasonable price of their product. There are many issues that farmers encountered such as (1) low product quality (2) ineffective production cost (3) lack of market promotion/business linkage including standard quality. At FAEC, we provide trainings with innovative agricultural production and post-harvest technic to members via our specialized farmers. We support local market development and/or collection center that contribute to a fairly price and benefit to farmer members. We provide capacity building on standards development for farmer members such as internal inspection and Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) to improve trust to clients. We engage in business match making between cooperatives and buyers to negotiate on price, quality and other specifications.
